😢 Kabaddi Star Brijesh Solanki Dies Saving a Puppy
Brajesh Solanki (22) was a state-level kabaddi player from Bulandshahr's Farana village and, in March 2025, saved a puppy that had fallen into a drain. The puppy nibbled one of his fingers, and while Brajesh thought it was cute, he didn't get the rabies vaccine since he felt no rabies risk existed. Each week, he assumed he now had a painful sports injury—but the week of June 26, Brajesh started to experience symptoms of rabies, like numbness and fear of water. In July, first he went to a local district hospital, where the symptoms were missed, but a hospital in Noida confirmed it. Sadly, the time had passed for Rabies treatment. On June 28 he passed away, while traveling to a faith-healer’s.

⚠️ Medical Negligence & a Knowledge Gap
Like a movie: a Gold Medalist, Pro Kabaddi aspirant, only went to rescue a puppy—and was hit with a very serious gamble.
Health experts say that if you are bitten by a dog, you must get anti-rabies vaccine treatment within 24 hours understanding that if symptoms emerge, your chances of survival are gone.
In this case, government hospitals failed to provide Brajesh timely FREE treatment—with increasing time to diagnosis delay, and delayed referral, he lost his time.
🌍 Community & Family Response
His video before he died went viral—pain, withdrawal, and pain were evidently visibly right now.
Health department started vaccination awareness drive to administer vaccines to 29 people.
His brother Sandeep Kumar appealed to the government: "He was a sole bread-winner—please assist us, either with support or a sarkari naukri."
If you are also rescuing stray animals, don't forget about the first aid and rabies vaccine. Tag and Share this blog to aware other animal rescuer of this—let us work to honour Brajesh's cause while preventing tragedy.
