🌾 Panchayat Season 4: A Turbulence in Phulera that No One Anticipated
When Panchayat premiered on our screens, it was more than a show — it was a window into India we understood but rarely encountered with such candor. With the release of Panchayat Season 4 on 24 June, 2025, Phulera's narrative takes a tumultuous, emotional and politically charged turn — one that has left fans both happy and bewildered.

🗳️ Election Fever at Phulera
The main plotline this season spotlights an intense election between Manju Devi (the brainchild of the unforgettable Neena Gupta) and Kranti Devi, a fierce and no-nonsense opponent. What began as a typical tale of village politics had escalated into a power struggle that laid bare the realities of rural politics, leadership, loyalty, and astute manipulation.
Fans were astonished when Kranti Devi won! For a village beginning to find comfort in Manju Devi's leadership, it felt like a stab in the back — but also a brutal reminder that politics in India can never be taken for granted.
💔 Love, Distance, and Decision-Making
While the panchayat seat heated up, Abhishek Tripathi (Jitendra Kumar) had battles of his own. After achieving a 97 percentile in CAT, he was too standing at a crossroads — between his aspirations difficile round to conclusion, and love.
The Performances that Cut Deep
Jitendra Kumar once again demonstrated why he is one of the finest actors alive — his silences conveyed more than most dialogue.
Neena Gupta and Raghubir Yadav delivered classic performances, while Durgesh Kumar (as Bhushan) provided much of the threat.
Sanvikaa as Rinki gets more screen-time — and her chemistry with Abhishek finally develops into something genuine and emotional.

Reviews: Divided Hearts
The fans revelled in the new layers of complexity, while some of the longtime viewers were seeking out the light-hearted simplicity of earlier seasons.
> "It’s more serious, more political, but feels somehow less Panchayat," tweeted one fan.
"Still the best show India has ever made- just in a different gear," added fan number two.
There is a broad consensus that Phulera's heart is still beating, but it has definitely matured.
🌱 To Conclude
Panchayat Season 4 isn't just about a village - or a panchayat election - it's about choices, change, and the price of progress. It bravely depicts the uncomfortable aspects of rural politics, and yet maintains its emotional heart.
For those of you that have followed the journey from the beginning, this season will test you, it will touch you, and yes, it might make you cry.
